Let's talk Summer Camp!
What kind of camp do you want to run? How many kids should you plan for? How long should the camp be? When and where will it be held? What curriculum is out there? Should you use existing curriculum or make up your own? What are guidelines for pacing activities?
When you first think about putting together a summer camp, the possibilities are endless…and maybe a little overwhelming! Let me help jumpstart your planning with a workshop designed to help you make decisions that work for your studio!
What we'll cover
Summer Camp is a great way to build up your piano studio (in knowledge and numbers!) and bring in a little extra summer income (or buy yourself much-needed time off!). It is also a fun way to mix things up, whether you are looking to replace or supplement your usual private lessons in the summer.
Let's talk about what it might look like for you!
- What kind of camp do you want to run?
- How long will your camp be (how many days and how many hours each day)?
- How will you structure each day?
- If you want to create your own camp, where should you start?
- How much will you charge?
- When should you start marketing (and where/how)?
At the end of this workshop, you will have the information you need to answer all of these questions for your studio and a plan of action for this year's summer camp(s).
You will walk away with a clear idea of what camp curriculums are available for piano teachers, starting tips for writing your own curriculum, a planning timeline to keep you on track, and sample emails and a registration form for communicating with parents.

Who I am
Hi! I'm Cori Belle. I am a piano teacher, accompanist, and mom to three teenage girls. I run a private piano studio, play for a community choir, and blog about how to create a life in music. One of my favorite things to do is to help people become better musicians - through teaching, collaborating, and providing resources. I hold a Bachelor's of Music degree in Piano Performance and a K-8 Teaching Certificate. I love working with kids of all ages, and summer camps are one of my favorite ways to teach and review musical concepts while building community in my studio and introducing music to new students!
