Inside the Mendelssohn Kit! Students will learn about the life and music of Felix Mendelssohn by playing an improvisatory memory game of Fairy Music Match, reading Mendelssohn's biography, listening to excerpts of his music, writing their own "fairy music," and guessing the Mendelssohn mood.

The Composer Kit is a tool for teaching music history concepts to your students in group lessons or private piano lessons. It consists of a Teacher's Guide with a suggested lesson plan, listening examples, and an overview of each activity. It also includes beginner and intermediate Student Worksheets showcasing a composer biography and simple writing activity, a composing activity tailored to both skill levels, and two games.
