ABOUT PIANO CAMP
Who
Any student age 6-10 as of June 2024 who is interested in music and possible future piano study. Piano Camp is designed for students curious about the piano and beginning students in their first or second year of lessons. Camps will be limited to 4-8 students. If the minimum of 4 students is not met, the camp will be cancelled and payment refunded.
What
This year campers have the choice of two Piano Camps: The Great Music Race and Musical Secret Agent Camp.
Both Piano Camps will be a highly interactive four days of fun involving a variety of activities to teach and reinforce musical concepts of rhythm, melody, keyboard geography, and note reading. Campers will participate in cooperative games involving boomwhackers, rhythm cups, workbook activities, lots of running/movement, and water!
Students in The Great Music Race will work in teams to complete exciting music challenges that earn them badges. Musical Secret Agents will use their developing musical decoding skills to solve musical mysteries and communicate with other musical secret agents.
When
Piano Camps will take place Monday-Thursday from 10am-12pm
Where
Piano Camps take place inside my piano studio and in the backyard at my home near North Creek High School in Bothell. You will receive the exact address upon confirmation of your registration.
Cost
The fee is $125 for new campers; $100 for students currently in my piano studio. The fee includes tuition, printed materials, and a camp t-shirt.
Snack
Campers pack their own morning snack and bottle of water.
